A specialist in digital plate photography, panorama, texture and environment capture for Feature film and TV Visual Effects.
Capture:
I use full frame FX format cameras, prime lenses and use remote trigger and tethering technology.
For HDR environmental light capture I use an 8mm lens giving a full 180 degree field of view, bracketing for 9 stops over 9 exposures. The camera setup is run by remote and is programmable which makes for very quick stills capture, minimising time on set.
While on set I will shoot textures and reference stills as required.
Delivery:
For HDR I deliver merged 32 bit EXR files. For panoramas I deliver fully stitched images. All stills files are pre edited and wrangled into a logical shot_name based filestructure. Thumbnails are included for quick reference via even the slowest pc or network!
I deliver what the artists need, which means no time is wasted data wrangling unfamiliar files.
